Dear Tech Wiz

After an incredible first season, NDTV Good Times in partnership with Big Synergy are back with the second season of their trailblazing quiz show on technology, The Croma Tech Grandmasters.

Your knowledge will be tested yet again on the latest gadgets to path breaking innovations and landmarks in the world of technology.If you think you did not get enough of technology and quizzing to make your tech-savvy self content. We are back, so get ready!

The show will feature every week, which will see teams from schools, colleges and corporates battling it out, over grueling rounds of questioning by none other than the Tech Guru himself - Rajiv Makhni.

As earlier, the show will provide a platform to all the tech savvy people between the age group of 16-40 years to showcase their tech quotient.

After an all India preliminary test followed by a screening of video capsules sent to us by your team , We will decide the 32 qualifying teams for the television rounds, clearly making you one of the potential contenders to be India’s next Tech Grandmasters!

That's the video by the team that won the 'so called' quiz last year. So just shoot anything, it really doesn't matter what you shoot, because once you are on the TV rounds, They won't show this video.

@vidit: would love to but not sure yet. well i'll say its not a 'so called' quiz...maybe it is not completely tech based and has some general elements too but i really liked the concept and format.

BTW What is the format like before the TV Rounds?

@7Aces: Before the TV rounds, AFAIK there is only a preliminary round. And you do have to send the 180 sec video and details, etc. BTW, are you 16+?

A single preliminary round...? Interesting. @marvellousmanas I turned 16 recently, but my team mate isn't. Would that pose a big problem?

See, There will be a written round in various cities, and then they will select teams, which will include college, school and corporate ones. The School teams get pinned against school teams in the first round.

@Mukund - Yea, even i think i was a bit harsh when I called it a so-called quiz. Its actually good in the later rounds.

P.S. Apart from the hideous process of getting onto the television, it should be a great adventure for all of you who wish to participate. :)

Theere are 2 Upload Video buttons, one under Candidate 1 & the other under Candidate 2. So do we upload the same video at both of those places, or do we need to have two separate videos?

Is it necessary to make a video this time? How do we register? Only online? And When will the preliminary test be held?

And When will they call for the TV rounds if we get selected? I have my Board Exams from March 2nd to March 15th :(

Go Murtuza, go! You're certainly really good at tech quizzing and btw I read somewhere that they would adjust their tv shooting if the participants are having exams at their time or so. so go ahead and register

@7Aces - I didn't register. As I can judge from the link, you will have to shoot two separate videos. Also It is necessary to shoot video.

Rules And Regulations for selection

Team participation should mean both members representing the same school, college or a corporate.
The number of teams applying from one institution of company can vary to the number of teams interested but Big Synergy Media Ltd as the producer of the show has reserved rights to select only one team per institution based on various criteria of selection.
Both team members should be over 16 years and below 40 years as of 31st December 2011
It is MANDATORY for all teams to provide us with a video clip with both contestants in the clip introducing themselves (Names, institution you are representing, team name etc) sharing with the selection team on why they should be selected for the show. The team should also share their views on the gadgets they possess, or the ones they would like to have and any interesting invention they have thought of etc.
The clip should not exceed more than 3 minutes (180 seconds). Anything beyond that will not be looked at or considered. The Clip should be in wmv, mp4 format.
In a scenario of the team emailing their application form, the team will have to upload their video along with it. Alternatively if you will send us your form through post. Please send us a VCD of the clip made by you to:
Any Application for sent/emailed to us without the video clip will be CANCELLED.
Both team members should be fluent in written as well as spoken English
Please attach recent photographs of (both contestants) in the space provided.
All questions with an asterix in front of it have to be answered clearly, in your own hand.
The Winners of Season-1 Maurya Learning Private Limited, will only be eligible to participate if the two participating members are different and if they would like to represent the company.
For the other teams from schools, colleges and corporate from season-1, the contest is open to the same teams as season-1 or a new team from the same institute.
Kindly notify us about your exam and holiday schedules. This is important to plan our schedules without having issues at a later stage.
We would request you to kindly, spread the word to fellow acquaintances keen on participating, keeping in mind the eligibility criteria.
